2nd Guild Congress and R2D6 Kickoff Event

Last Saturday October 22, 2011, IP e-Games holds its 2nd Guild Congress at the SM Annex Cyberzone, an annual event that seeks to bring together and recognize the various guilds of their MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online RolePlaying Game) and online casual games.   I never knew that the gaming community was this big.  I can't hardly roam around in the event area.

On this event, the MMORPGs RAN Online and CABAL Online, online FPS (First Person Shooting) game, Point Blank, and online casual music games Audition Dance Battle and Bandmaster honors their guilds with special awards like the T-Shirt Design Contest and the Banner Contest, offline activities such as dance numbers and games and of course the tournaments.

Heidi Mendita-Garayblas, Vice President for IP e-Games' MMOG Products says that the Guild Congress provides them with the venue to honor and recognize various e-Games guilds that helped the gaming company nurture and grow its online community.  "IP e-Games is at 15 million users and still growing and we owe a lot of that to the gamers that have contributed tiem and effort to build that community.  This is just one of the many ways we're recognizing and honoring them."  With that big community it is indeed needs to be recognized even in some simple ways.

Aside from the tournaments and games that the attendees are playing there were also offline activities like the bring me contest,  the pizza eating contest and the dating game, which I'm sure everyone there did enjoy.  Also there were band performances to keep everyone alive, namely Join the Club and Paramita.  Join the Club vocalist did enjoy roam around with crowd and the smashing hit of the drums by the Paramita's drummer girl.  To complete the entertainment there were also dance number from the Audista Dancers (Audition Dance Battle players).

The event is not only for the Guild Congress but it also marks the kickoff to Road to Domination VI (R2D6) which is an opening salvo and pre-event celebration for the biggest single-day gaming celebration, e-Games Domination VI, RAN Online, CABAL Online, Point Blank, Audition Dance Batle and Bandmaster will hold their R2D6 Mega Manila Leg tournaments:

• RAN Online - Matira Matibay
• CABAL Online - 3x3 Carnage National Tournament
• Point Blank - Mega Bakbakan
• Audition Dance Battle - Master of 8Keys
• Bandmaster - Guild Congress SOS

Winning teams from these matches will get awesome in-game items plus the coveted spot in the grand final tournaments at Domination VI.  Similar tournaments will be held in key cities in North and South Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Miguel Bauza, IP e-Game Vice President for Marketing, said that just like last year's pre-Domination kickoff, R2D6 will be more exciting and geared towards gamers.

"R2D6 will be the awesome preview of what is to be expected during Domination VI.  E-Gamers will get online tournaments, unforgettable, offline activities and performances that'll involve our ever growing gaming community.  It'll be bigger and better."

The event also became the launch pad for new RAN Online, CABAL Online and Point Blank updates.  Some of the updates are the 177 and 187 skills, a range of new abilities for players of RAN Online; the Saint's Requiem patch for the CABAL Online; the Halloween Patch for players of Point Blank; and also the updates for the Audition Dance Battle and Bandmaster.
