"Photosynthesing...."

A new way of experiencing and sharing of photos. From a pile of digital photos from one of your vacations or a simple walk in the park will turn it into a three-dimensional setting, a 360-degree experience. This is Photosynth! A new service from Microsoft Live Labs. Passionately created by two dozen people to bring this new service.


Photosynths constitute an entirely new visual medium. It analyzes and examines each photo for similarities to each other and uses that data to estimate the shape of the subject and vantage point of each photo was taken from. With the information gather it builds and recreates the environment to display the scene as if the viewer is there and shares the experience.
